COURSE DESCRIPTION

The diversity of Islam in Indonesia has become a fascinating subject for many studies in the last decades.  So, how is the diversity able to build social harmony in Indonesian society?  The Short Course on Islam in Indonesia 2021 is designed to provide various sociological, historical and political perspectives on the role and development of Islam in Indonesia in terms of forming and maintaining the socio religious harmony.

COURSE OUTCOMES

• The ability to understand Islamic diversity in Indonesia from sociological, historical and political perspectives.
• The ability to identify, observe, and analyze socio-religious phenomena in Indonesian Muslim Society
• The ability to understand and to have good practices in management conflict and social reconciliation in the subject area of religions
• The ability to propose solutions and steps on how to manage the diversity in society.
